Maker’s Mark FAE-02 batch is one of the best pours that I have had from Maker’s Mark. I typically prefer wheated bourbons, so I tend to enjoy most of the Maker’s Mark lineup. This bottle however, seems to stand a little above the rest.
This batch was aged with 10 virgin french oak staves that enhance the typical flavors associated with Maker’s Mark. This bourbon provides a very thick, creamy mouthfeel with flavors that are bold, yet balanced. There is a little heat on the finish, but it is not overly hot.
