Castle and Key Small Batch Bourbon

Castle and Key

Castle and Key Small Batch Bourbon is definitely one of the hot bourbons recently. It tends to fly off the shelf quickly and has one of the most beautiful bottles currently available. Unfortunately for me, the bottle is the best quality this bourbon has to offer. Hailing from the old E.H. Taylor distillery, the bourbon coming out of Castle and Key today, is nowhere near as satisfying in my opinion.

It comes in dry and hot for 99 proof. It is not bad, but is far from great. There is a lot of youthful qualities with batch #2. Hopefully with time, Castle and Key can produce some higher quality bourbon that would be expected from the historical site that they now utilize.
