Elijah Craig Barrel Proof is one of my favorite scheduled releases on the market. It’s not easy to get, but I can generally find one reasonably priced in my area. As long as you can find it at a price near retail, This batch is a 11 year, 5 month, 124.2 proof release. This release is a good release, but I prefer the A123 release earlier this year so far. Side by side, B523 has a little stronger ethanol on the nose and the flavors are not quite as refined as A123. With that said, overall this is still a good bottle and worth trying.
