Elijah Craig Private Barrel – Universal Fine Wine and Spirits

Elijah Craig Universal Fine Wine & Spirits Private Barrel

All of the Elijah Craig Private Barrel store picks I have tried have been very good. This review is of the Elijah Craig Private Barrel pick from Universal Fine Wine and Spirits out of Florida. Overall, this private barrel pick is very good. It has some of the very nice honey notes and sweet cherry that I really enjoy. My primary issue with Elijah Craig Private Barrel picks is the price and age. Most are typically 8 to 9 years old and run around $100 everywhere that I have seen and tried them. I think they typically are worth the price in terms of quality.

My issue, however, is that if you can find any of the Elijah Craig Barrel Proof scheduled releases, they are 12 years old and only cost around $80. Every Elijah

Craig Barrel Proof I have tried, take batch A123 for instance, is a much better quality and value. Overall, Elijah Craig Private Barrel picks are very good, but I prefer the barrel proof releases at a lower price.
