I have never been a big fan of rye whiskey, but I have been trying more ryes as of late. Sazerac Rye is almost always on the shelf at my local stores for a very fair price, so I decided to pick one up to try. To my surprise, Sazerac Rye was a treat.
In contrast to ryes that I have had in the past with their intense rye flavor, Sazerac Rye was very light and refreshing. If you don’t like it neat, Sazerac Rye is the rye of choice for the classic Manhattan. For a $25-$30 bottle, I think you can’t go wrong giving this one a try.
