I have never looked seriously at Jack Daniel’s for high quality whiskey. Most of their mass products that I have tried are OK, but nothing spectacular. Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye, however, is anything but ordinary.
For such a high proof whiskey, Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye is extremely smooth and fantastic from nose to finish. The flavors are bold and well balanced with an amazing thick, creamy viscosity. If you can find one of these near retail pricing, I would highly recommend getting one.
